Alberto Vallarino selected as Finance and Economy Minister
President elect Ricardo Martinelli has named Alberto Vallarino as his choice for Finance and Economy Minister, and Frank De Lima as his deputy minister. The new team is working with the existing Finance Ministry to ensure a smooth takeover and transition. Vallarino, a qualified engineer has worked with a real estate firm as well as the local Grupo Banistmo.
Martinelli, who assumes presidential power in July has indicated his intention of enacting market friendly policies of a flat tax rate, as well as significantly developing infrastructure within Panama.
