Panama is doing well amidst the economic crisis that the rest of world is facing.  A lot of people have discovered Panama as a good investment and is showing positive results for their economy.  Though some people are hesitant about the market and predicting crisis and failure, statistics have proven otherwise.  Panama is stronger than ever and is at its peak during these difficult times.

Panama’s banking sector earned second highest in the World Economic forum survey for the whole region.  Aside from that, Panama also ranked 32nd among 52 countries taking part of the Financial Development Index which was prepared by the prestigious World Economic Forum.  This is indeed an honor to the Panamanian Government as the survey ranked Panama out of 140 areas basing their categories on social, political and economic system.

In this particular region, there were eight countries which were included in the survey, Chile, which ranked 30th overall, came in first while Panama came in second.  Other countries in this region include Brazil (43rd), Mexico (44th), Colombia (46th), Peru (47th), Argentina (48th) and Venezuela (52nd).

The survey done was based on the factors of strength of banking system, their business environment and the stability of their financial standing.  All countries were tested and judged by these categories to determine which country rank higher than the other countries.  Panama ranked high in several areas because of a steady performance in some key indicators.

Panama is doing more than satisfactory, as experts would say.  Their real estate market is at its strongest and demand couldn’t be more sufficient.  Panama is just realizing its potential, give or takes a few years; people would really see its true potential.   Stability, liquidity and strength of the financial system truly helped the country survive the current international crisis.
