Wonderful places for scuba diving in Santa Catalina

Santa Catalina is a big attraction for the tourists who have an interest in Scuba Diving. Around the month of January, the temperature of that area is somewhere around 28 degree Celsius which is very comfortable weather for diving. Diving in this area is worth all the pains one has to take to come here.

There are two beautiful dive sites in that area which are known as the El Palo Grande (The Big Tree) and the Punta Pargo (Snapper Point). Both these places have a huge collection of moray eels, snappers, big jacks etc. and they are often seen by divers.. The experience of swimming with these exotic species is very difficult to write but divers can very well imagine it.

On the Coiba island, there is the Bajo Frijoles (Beneath Beans), which is a favorite site for a number of divers. There are a variety of sharks easily seen here which includes types like the Hammer Head shark, nurse shark nad bull shark. Apart from the sharks, other marine life visible there includes spadefish, triggerfish, moray, milkfish (which is a very rare species and very difficult to capture in the camera also).

Another dive center is the Boca Chica which is close to Boca Brava. This dive center has all the latest equipment for diving such as a custom made dive boat. The boat is just perfect for anyone who wishes to make a four or five day trip live on the board.

It can be a really amazing experience if one can get to dive in area where there are humpback whales on the surface. Listening to these whales singing and diving can be a life time memory for anyone.

Another equally mesmerizing site for diving is the site close to Seca islands. The kinds of fish and the huge numbers in which these fish are present here is just unbelievable. So many beautiful fish together in such large numbers is difficult to be found commonly and then the pleasure of diving in between them is just amazing. Beauty of the landscapes in this site is an added advantage for all the scuba divers. The sky and water both look so quiet and so much at peace that one tends to forgets all his inner turmoil when he comes here. The species that one can see here include Dog snappers, eagle rays, huge spadefish, cubera etc. Corals and pristine fans have also occupied a large area here. The only disadvantage here is the depth. The water is very deep for the purpose of regular diving but that is also a sign that this place has still not been explored so much and there is so much to discover in those deep waters.
